Hi! I’m Ally.

My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space that will empower you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself.

We will build on your inherent strengths to improve coping skills and foster healthy relationships so you can live your most authentic life.

Hi! I’m Daniel.

My goal is to create a welcoming space where you can reflect, grow, and gain insight into yourself, while building the practical skills you need to navigate daily life with more ease.

I believe meaningful change begins within a genuine therapeutic relationship where you feel known, challenged with compassion, and supported as you move toward the life you want to build. Our work together will explore the deeper patterns that shape how you think, feel, and connect with others.

Daniel is directly supervised by Ally. Daniel accepts Aetna and BCBS PPO.

Why Common Thread Counseling?

The name “Common Thread Counseling Chicago” comes from a belief that we share universal experiences as humans and that human connection is crucial for our emotional and mental wellbeing.

We often have a thread, pattern, or internalized belief running from our early experiences to our current condition.

Individual therapy can help you explore what that thread is to you, become more connected with your experiences and community, gain insight, purpose, and meaning.

I also thought it was catchy.

Spools of thread showing how counseling can explore themes, patterns, connection and universal feelings we share.
